Columbia Brown Wax Cylinder 11019

Hi,

In preparation for an article in AP, I have come across an old listing for a brown wax cylinder in the category of "Talking Records."

It is: 11019 - "Forty Years Ago."

If the Columbia catalog is from ca 1896, that would make it about 1856, if my arithmetic is right. What were they "commemorating"?

Of course, if someone actually had this recording to check, that might solve it completely.
