matching cylinders with containers

Post by Burt68 »

I have a collection over 90 Edison cylinders of various types and expect that sometime over the last 100+ years, some of the cylinders and their respective boxes got mixed up. I have them catalogued by year. I would like to get the cylinders back into their period correct boxes. Is that possible?

The ones from 1909, black wax are in red lettered boxes and seem to be correct. And similar Edison Gold Moulded are matched correctly.

The majority are dark blue background with white letters and of course they are amberol.

Some are green "4 minute" labels. Any idea what years these correspond to?

Next up is Orange background with blue lettering (amberol)?
