From past experiences, what are the best methods to ship via UPS or the Post Office Edison Music? Any cost idea's?

Safely Shipping Edison Discs and Cylinders

Diamond Discs are nearly indestructible. Just pack with reasonable caution - bubble wrap, cardboard, etc. and you'll be fine.
Blue Amberol cylinders are also pretty easy to ship. Use an original Edison tube box if possible, then bubble wrap individually. Make sure there is a good inch or so of padding between the cylinders and the box. Any cylinder touching the box is likely to crack.
Wax cylinders must be shipped in their tube boxes, but never ship a cylinder in the Gold Moulded box that has a center core. That's a recipe for disaster. I recommend bubble wrapping individually and double boxing, especially if you are shipping brown wax.
