I just bought a World Record manufactured by the World Record Phonograph Company of Chicago. However, I was unable to find info. When I did a Google search , Columbia Records popped up? I did find a Talking Machine company of Chicago, but nothing about World Record?

Re: World Record
In the forum there was info, brochures in PDF form, etc, if memory doesn't fail...
Among 609 matches, there is this one

Looking for World Record Controller I found this
https://collection.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk › ...
Controller, and selector by World Record Limited | Science Museum Group Collection
And YouTube also has info and videos... The EMG Colonel showed one:

Re: World Record
I have wondered for years about the World Phonograph Company. I have not seen the label on your record before, but I have this really nice metal sign that advertises The World Phonograph Company from Chicago, Illinois. It could be a Columbia Client company, but in the advertisement it says it will play all Disc records. That makes me think it had a reproducer that could move to various positions. I am not aware of any Columbia machines that did that. But, who knows.
Anyway, the sign is wonderful. Sorry for the shadow on the left side. I didn't want to take it down to get a picture.

Re: World Record
I've never seen a World record. As you know, that was one of those companies with a short lived career. Arto also said Universal Record on their label.edisonplayer.
