Went to the mail box yesterday, and guess what was there? A little brown package from Ron Sitko. It surprised me because I hadn't ordered any parts. Opened it up, and to my surprise was the thrust collar and L pin I have looked for to finish the Home D. I called Ron and he laughed and said it was a gift, because he knew I was having a hard time finding one. He went through all his old parts to find it. People like Ron are disappearing from this hobby, that's why I try to help people if I can. Now the old Edison is complete and sounds like it should.
A very special thanks to Ronald Sitko.

If it is really bad I use the goop non pumice hand cleaner, and I am known to just fill a sink with hot water, and Dawn and scrub the bed plate with a soft plastic scrubbing brush. I then use Howard's Feed and Wax. I have to usually clean it every few weeks It does get pretty bad.
