Repairing Diaphragms-Gasket on both sides?

Post by Hcompton79 »

When putting a new diaphragm into a reproducer do gaskets go on both sides or only facing out?
Sorry I'm new to this.

Both sides if at all possible. Some reproducers are made of pot metal and you run the risk of breakage from disassembly. Beware if you see lots of little cracks which an indication of something made out of pot metal. Jerry

I do believe it is made of pot metal but I see no cracks in it.

To be honest I still don't know what machine it is. all I could find was "E General Industries Co Ohio Junior" printed on the motor.
