I have a few that are coming to me and hate the thought of sleeving them and burying them. Aside from tacking them to a wall, how do you display your picture discs?
The disc below is not one I'm getting but rather one I already had. I bought it for my grandfather and then it came back to me after he passed away a decade ago but I would like to display this one as well. I have some ideas but thought it would be cool to see what y'all have done with yours...
Anybody have any great ideas for displaying Vogue picture discs?

Most that I have seen in collections are wall hangers... although a rare Jimmie Rodgers picture disc was found nailed to the side of a barn.
NOT a great idea...

True! I was wondering if anyone had a solution for that, a neat display idea. Luckily many of these definitely have a "better side".

I got the discs yesterday. My father was given these as a thank-you for helping a friend clean out a house. I sure wish the folks took a little better care of them, they seem to have not been protected. Looks like at one point their kids got after them with crayons thinking they were a coloring book? Not a lot but enough to amuse.
My favorite one has definitely gotta be "I've Been Working On The Railroad". What a great big band arrangement of that tune! Whoever is playing trumpet on this is just screamin'. It's a bit noisy but still fun to play. Now to figure out how to display them without making them any worse!

I don't know if you noticed, but the one that I can see with obvious crayon marks is stamped "factory reject". These are usually records where the music and picture don't match up correctly. Some collectors pay a premium for these.Dischoard wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 1:38 pm I got the discs yesterday. My father was given these as a thank-you for helping a friend clean out a house. I did notice, in fact I have two that are stamped "Factory Reject". It appears that in one of them a little piece of the artwork dogeared under the vinyl, I'm thinking that may be why it was "rejected" and the other I haven't yet taken the time to look too much. I never thought about it being the wrong tune, I'll have to give it a spin and a harder listen. Thanks for the tip!

I use plate hangers to hang mine with. You can buy them on ebay for cheap and they are hung up very solid (I like to listen to music loud and don't want them to fall off the wall.)
