Victor round speed control disassembly
How can one remove the round speed control from the motor board of a Victor VV-XVI? I want to use it on another motor.

Re: Victor round speed control disassembly
1- Remove the long skinny threaded screw.
2- The tapered part should slide down and off. Keep track of the spring that pushes down on this part.
3- With those parts set aside you will see a threaded collar that hold the rest of the speed control assembly tight to the motor board.
4- Note the two holes in the collar. There was probably a tool to loosen that part but I use a smaller flat bladed screw driver. Hold the screw driver at an angle with the flat blade against one of the holes. Gently tap and the collar should start to turn.
