Thanks for the tips. I tried a different record and it played for a while. I’m using soft tone needles for now. It played but it sounds like this reproducer is distorting badly. Well it sounds ok but then distorts intermittently.

I tried out my Victor VV-2 55 and it too worked but that one has a squealing sound from the motor. Guess I gotta figure out how to carefully take out and clean the springs of these machines. The VV-2 55 had a great full tone, but the motor I very noisy. Looking forward to having a working machine.

I got tired and waiting and I am waiting for an HMV 102 to arrive from England. That ones supposed to be cleaned and sorted out. We will see.
