Where are you located? Several people recommend Nashville Plating, (which I presume is in Nashville, TN...). There is also AW Plating & Fini Finish in Warren, MI. Plating can be very reasonable, or very expensive, with what seems to be no middle ground. The very expensive places are not always the very best, and visa versa.

Plating is also very easy if you want to do it yourself. When I re-plated all the hardware on my VV-X-A, I did it at home. There are a lot of good guides on Youtube.

Nashville Plating IS in Nashville, Tennessee and they specialize in replating antique banjos and they are really good at duplicating historic plating finishes. You want ‘nickel’ plating done, not “nickle”.
