I have a mahogany Columbia Majestic Disc machine that is nearly complete except for the missing nickel plated dust ring that encircled the 12.5 inch turntable. There are small holes around the turntable indicating it was removed and discarded. I’m told that Columbia dust rings were often removed when dented causing rubbing to occur as the record platter spun.
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement? Has anyone ever crafted a replacement?

Re: Columbia Disc Machine Dust Ring replacement
That will be a very difficult item to find. I have always wondered about making over a clock bezel, such as those used on "schoolhouse" clocks, which has the same basic shape, but comes in different diameters.
Of the phonograph variety, some are made of spun brass, and others are cast aluminum. Not that that helps you in particular.

I'd like to make a friendly suggestion to place a "wanted" ad in the Trader section of our Forum. Please read the guidelines first. Hope you find a dust ring.
