Re: Restoring HMV 461
I enjoyed the videos, but with great respect, I can think of nothing more dangerous than greasing the spring before replacing it in the drum, making it slippery and hard to control. A couple of big dollops of grease in the bottom of the drum will be distributed by the tightening of the coils as the motor is wound. Just my opinion!

I wouldn't either... That was a try at humor.Dangermouse wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 7:39 amI wouldn't try to put it on your hair.........................
The question was however, what is "washing up liquid"? Is it hand soap? Is it dish soap? or ???
