MORE Zonophone Traveling Arm Help Needed
I have two Zonophone Parlor models. One has a stamped steel traveling arm, that is clearly original. The other has a cast arm that I'm not sure of. I know the reproduction arms are cast, but were any original arms also cast? Mine certainly has the look of age, but then if it is a reproduction, it's maybe 30 years old already, so it's hard to tell.

Re: MORE Zonophone Traveling Arm Help Needed
"The earliest type has a tubular construction composed of two U-shaped pieces, bolted together to give the arm an oval cross-section. This quickly gave way to the more common one-piece cast traveling arm, which also has a U-shaped cross-section."
