Victrola Shipping Crate
I was thinking about buying one that is in pieces to maybe make a record cabinet. Do you guys think that would bad to not keep it intact as a crate? How much are these things worth anyway? Has anybody bought one and made anything out of it?

Being able to repurpose it as something that you use daily as part of the hobby is a great idea. Personally, I wouldn't do anything to the individual components that permanently changes it, such as cutting/sawing. Or to put it another way, if you decided you no longer wanted the record cabinet, it would be good to be able to break it down and still have an essentially original crate.

Unfortunately this one sold, so now its up to the new owner. I like that idea of keeping it intact cosmetically but only altering it temporarily Frisco.

Wow !
I would have hung them up on a wall like pieces of art. (Really).
I imagine these are very rare ?
