Victor Transitional Monarch Special for Sale

I am putting my 1905 Transitional Victor Monarch Special up for sale as I unfortunately cannot afford to keep this rare beast.

Info:

The machine is in comparatively nice cosmetic shape though with some points to note. The case is original however it is a few shades lighter than what it normally would be on most of the flat surfaces, probably from overzealous cleaning. The back bracket is in wonderful shape. The tonearm and other nickel-plated parts were, unfortunately, chrome-plated at some point. Also, see the photo of the back bracket/ tonearm connection and note replaced flange and missing pivot rod. The Exhibition is a later example of what was originally found on this machine.

The motor has a lot of torque with only moderate noise from the goofy beveled gears. The original turntable felt was missing and replaced with a cheap green velvet when I acquired the machine. I have since been applied some ancient wool felt as decent substitute for the original stuff.

The horn looks nice with some black touch-up work done probably when the chrome-plating took place. The label is original. Speaking of labels, the bottom paper Victor patent label is mostly intact as can been seen in the provided pictures.

The crank is a funky repro.

I'd like this special machine to go to someone who may eventually seek to get the necessary items it would take to make it as close to original as possible so I am hesitant to put it on Ebay. That being said, I am not looking to get 'top dollar' and am open to offers for it, so if you have an interest please send me a message. I can provide more details upon request.
