Hoping someone can help me. Someone in the past snapped most of the end of the Zonophone governor (please see pictures). Everything else on the governor is fine but, sadly, I don't know of any way to repair / replace the broken end so I need another. Yes, I'm aware of George Vollema and other parts sellers but I wanted to reach out here to see if anyone has one of these in a spare parts box to help me out. Happy to pay a fair and honest price for one.
Thanks,
Doug

Could the broken part be drilled out and replaced with a pin pressed in?

Re: WANTED: Zonophone Governor
I had wondered that as well. I'm guessing it would work presuming the hole is drilled accurately. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools to attempt it.Phono-Phan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 10:07 am Could the broken part be drilled out and replaced with a pin pressed in?

Re: WANTED: Zonophone Governor
I would search out a clock repair person to do this. They have the skills and tools to do it properly.

Have you asked George Vollema if he could repair it?

A good clockmaker/repairman can do that for you. It is a very common repair in the clock world.

Thanks for the suggestions on a clockmaker to repair my Zonophone governor. I'll give that a try.
