Re: Wanted Victor V horn
I recommend that you contact Don Gfell of Sights and Sounds of Edison in Milan OH (Tom's Birthplace). I've purchased many horns from Don over the years; they are well-engineered, high quality and a great value if you want a piece of history reproduced elegantly and likely to survive all of us. Don can also repair virtually any Victor, Edison, Columbia or other horn. At some time in the distant future, collectors will say, hey that's one of those great Gfell horns.
I think your Victor V will look great with one of Don's personally crafted Victor Spear Tip, Victor Smooth Music Master or any one of a variety of custom Panel Horns.
Contact Don or his wife Bobbi at http://homepages.accnorwalk.com/frrock/myweb2/ Some photos on this site too.
his e-mail is edisonman1@aol.com
Telephone: 419 499 3093
You can see a great sampling of his work at the Show Videos on my phonojack.site. Tell him I sent ya and he'll charge ya extra! Just kidding. Prices are very reasonable, a bargain when you consider the labor and materials used to craft these.
