I am curious how the horn is used for the radio and the phonograph. I don't see a horn valve.
I'd never buy the thing.

Thanks Jerry (and all others), this helps a lot! Because the unit is a family heirloom (purchased new in 1926), and my wife wanted it in the living room, I refurbished the cabinet, fixed the tone arm, and brought the tube radio back to life.
Having your estimate, helps me know that I did not destroy some "original", of great value. Here is it's current state, with both sides (radio and phonograph) functional.

There is nothing uncool about it. I wanted to know what the unit was worth, and got it.
If I would have shown the unit completely restored, I was afraid someone would say "it was valuable, before I touched it". Now I know.

Re: FOR SALE:Wurlitzer Model 60 Radio Wind-Up Phonograph INQUIRE
Color me stupid, but I'm just not really understanding what all the hoopla is about. Seems "Marty" was upfront about just wanting to know approximately what one of these maybe is or is not worth. Seems that if it was some sort of a really valuable/ important artifact, he didn't want to risk "ruining" it with a restoration.
I don't see where he was "misleading"- at all. Vague, yes... but not misleading.
I DO want to say that if the machine posted on this page is the same one he posted on the previous one, it's a really nice job and being a family item since new, that makes it even better.
Ah iz cornfuzzled.
