SOLD -- Triumph Model A w /Cabinet and repeater $1500

Post by catfishjohn »

Up for sale is a super nice early Triumph model A. It’s a one family machine that came from the grandson. The cabinet is full of 150 or so cylinders (no pegs). The machine was period converted to a 2/4 minute machine, but they kept all the old parts including the mandrel, It comes with the original repeater, C & H reproducer and a recorder, 2/4 minute selector tool and record index. The rear feet of the cabinet have been replaced but it doesn’t show. It’s a time capsule and the finish is super nice. I haven’t messed with it but it wont take much to get it playing. Im located in Fairfax Va, I don't want to ship it. Come have a look. You might find something else to buy. please PM if interested.

Wow! I only wish I had talked to you a little sooner. This machine and cabinet would be with me in California!

Would the repeater have been removed because it would not work with the combination gearing? Jerry

The repeater would work fine with the 2/4. The problem appears that the end gear on the pulley is on the 2 minute mandrel pulley and needs to be installed on the 2/4 mandrel pulley. Not a hard fix, but must be perfect.
