Seeking transport logistics solution to get an upright phonograph from NW Pennsylvania (between Pittsburgh and NY state line) to anywhere in AZ I’m in central Arizona accessible to I-10/I-17/I-40. Immediately or in stages over time.
Thanks!
John

John, I looked on craigslist NJ ---ride share (I think that is the right title) and see there is a guy that goes from northern NJ to Arizona every so often. He took and Emerson from Ohio to NJ for me. He has min. of $100 dollars adds more for how much he has to go out of his way. Take a look---if you can't find it, I'll see about getting his info. for you. He drives a pick up truck.

Thanks! I’ll try to find him. Do you know if it’s an enclosed pickup?

An upright phonograph will not fit inside my car... but if needed It could stay at my home in Knoxville Tn until someone else can bring it further west.

John, The pick up truck is a Honda and when he leaves his house---he drives straight thru to Az. The two of you agree on a time and place and price
and you have your machine----in 24 to 34 hours.

The possibility of it getting wet doesn’t work for me, but thanks!

The odds of finding someone here on that route are remote. Your best bet would be to go to www.uship.com and request a quote. I use them frequently for inbound shipments. Don’t just look for the cheapest price; the reliability and ratings of each carrier are equally important. I found a carrier a few months ago that has now hauled for me six times, with astounding results.
