SALE PENDING: Edison Standard Combination - $275

Post by vintagetenor »

Serial no. 646483. Model D. Plays very well.

Has been in my family, with this repro horn, since 1971. Comes with only one reproducer, a Model H.

I'll gladly play machine over the phone.

Located in Bedford, PA. I prefer not to ship but will meet buyer a reasonable distance from Bedford.

It's a nice machine, in good condition, thanks for posting it. You might have better luck listing a price that you are comfortable with... ;)

Thanks, Curt, I agree. I have little knowledge of machine values and looking online is not helping much.

You might use the "search" feature of our Forum for machines listed and sold on the Trader. Many sellers leave the price on an item when it sells. Another method would be the check Ebay. Search Ebay for "Edison Standard." Next click on "advanced search" and click on "completed" or "sold" listings. You can see the price an Edison Standard that actually sold.

I would be on that if I didn't live so far away. I have a 2 minute machine but a ton of 4 minute cylinders so, obviously, I need another machine ;)

I am the new proud owner! All thanks to Don (EdiBrunsVic) for going pick it up and even delivering it to my house (cant thank you enough Don!). My collection has only ever focused on disc machines, so this is all new to me.

Is there any good demo videos out there that show how to lube/oil and change from 2 min to 4 min? Basically just a quick run down of how they operate and what pitfalls to look out for?

Thanks,

Travis

Great, Travis! Thanks for the note.

As far as machine maintenance, I'm sure you could get good advice on the Tips, Tricks and Tutorials section.
