FOR SALE: Edison Home D 2/4 with C and H Reproducers and Edison Home Horn/Crane - $850

Edison Home Model D, SN 358017, 2/4 Minute Combination type (factory) with matching Home horn/crane.

Mechanically cleaned/lubed/adjusted in 2020 by a local, highly-respected phono whisperer, this versatile 2/4 Home D comes with:

• Home 11-panel original horn (34” x 21”) in nice shape, with an older repro crane (base bracket is original)
• pot metal mandrel shaft bearing has already been replaced
• case and lid were professionally refinished in September 2021 – no repairs were needed, all original and tight/intact
• new “Edison” decal (Gregg Cline)
• attached hardware (and crank, with newly-painted black handle) was just machine cleaned, buffed and polished
• angled carriage
• new rubber feet
• bedplate is in very good original condition with a new 2/4 decal (Gregg Cline)
• set-up includes H and C reproducers; both have recently been cleaned and restored (by Steve Medved)
• the H reproducer originally had a cork gasket that Edison started using in 1924 (replaced by Medved). This reproducer is supposedly one of the last 5,000 H reproducers made (1924-1925). The final 5,000 model H tops, I am informed, only have the serial number on them, no lettering, and a brass top (SN C18186)

Plays nice and runs smooth. The whole phono (bedplate, case, mandrel, horn and lid) is very clean.
