Today I am listing this rare Columbia Favorite tabletop model and a record cabinet. This is the earlier and rarer model with the round motor board. Later models had a square motor board. This model has the correct wood knobs and black colour speed control. The reproducer is also a Columbia and is also rarer. The Favorite plays easily thru a whole record with a good winding. Included is a record cabinet. The machine is a bit bigger than the cabinet and hangs over about 1" on the sides, but is square front and back of the cabinet top. The cabinet is not a matching cabinet, but the mahogany cabinet looks nice and compliments the machine in my opinion.
The Favorite is not a common machine to find and even rarer with the round motor board.
I've posted lots of pictures that will help in it's description.
Asking $350US for both. I would prefer to sell these as a set.
I live in the Windsor area right on the Detroit Michigan border. I can deliver these to Stanton's in April if that helps.
Message me with questions or to purchase. Thanks.
Mike

Re: COLUMBIA FAVORITE AND RECORD CABINET - $350
A member here gave me some great info on a cabinet I listed in the Yankee Trader. With this new info I have decided to change this listing. The cabinet listed would appear to be a Salter with adjustable corners for a machine. Another ad stated it was thought to be meant for a Columbia Favorite. Since I have a Favorite listed for sale I have decided to offer these 2 pieces together. I have moved the corners so they hold the Columbia Favorite tight, but is easily removed and put back in place. The side to side corners measure perfect for the machine. The front to back is almost perfect. The rear corners hang off ⅛" but is not noticeable from the front and is not an issue. I have included pics of this new combo as it's too late for me to make changes to my original ad.
The first 3 pics show the machine on the Salter cabinet. Pic 4 shows the left side, pic 5 shows the right side, pic 6 shows the front corner and pic 7 shows the rear corner.
The first ad shows the other cabinet which is listed here. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=57657
A rare early round motor board Columbia Favorite with a matching Salter cabinet probably isn't an easy find.
I have decided to list this set at $400 and can bring to Stanton's next month.
