I heard that someone made adapters for odd spindle records to go on a regular spindle. I need one for a Harmony, United, and an Aretino. If anyone knows who this was, and if they are still being made, I sure would like to know.

I'm not the guy you were looking for but I could make a small run of adapters if I know the exact diameter required.

if someone else wants some, feel free to PM me. :)

Hi Leo,
Here are the dimensions:
Standard 9/16"
Harmony ¾"
United 1 ¼"
Aretino 3"
These were ⅝" high.
That would be awesome if you can make these.

Keep us posted if this comes to production..Would be something good to have even if you don't have an immediate need. Might want to package it as a kit.

Thanks
Joe

It shouldn't be too hard to make your own adaptors, if you have access to a drill press.

For the smaller diameters, drilling a ¼" hole in a dowel of the right diameter would suffice; for the United and Aretino discs, you could use a circle cutter on a flat piece of wood…

I myself have made adapters by using rubber washers of suitable size…

I got my set of odd spindle adapters from Leo. I have the adapters for the Standard, Harmony, United, and Aretino. These are first rate with meticulous craftsmanship. The price was very reasonable for a well made product. I can see a lot of time and effort went into making these. This is an asset to the hobby. Thanks Leo, for a job well done.

I also have some odd-sized spindle adaptors in production, though it will be a week before they are available.

Made out of durable polymer resin, sold individually or as a set.

Features:
*Through-and-though spindle hole to fit any length spindle
*beveled crown to easily guide record around spindle
*Tapered center spindle hole to guide adapter over spindle easily.
*Recessed paint-filled lettering in crown for identification (looks similar to an Oxford phonograph cylinder)
*Durable black polymer resin construction

Will post when available.

Regards,
Mike
