Hi: I am not a cylinder collector but picked up this one recently. #9005. Can someone tell me it’s history. Is it in the correct box? Is it a USA or UK made cylinder for Edison Bell and is it 2 or 4 minute playing time.

A good picture of the top of the cylinder, showing the lettering, would assist with identification.

I believe it's a US-made 2-minute Lambert record (the March 2, 1900 patent is for the US). Lambert had business connections with Edison-Bell, and some of these can be found with English artists/bands playing on them.

The catalog number suggests that this one may have been made for the UK market, so the box may be original to the record.

It is a 2-minute record. Playing it will probably tell you whether it is a Lambert (US) or Edison-Bell (UK) as these are usually announced. Here's an example of an Edison-Bell:

Another tell-tale indicator is that some (but not all) of the Edison-Bell records have a plaster core, but I don't ever recall seeing a plaster core on a US Lambert.

Looks to me to be a "Pink Lambert". Do an eBay search for same and you should be well pleased.

You may find Dulcetto's remarks from last year helpful, regarding Edison-Bell Indestructibles:
