Re: 'Worst Phonograph Description On Craigslist' contest
At first glance, I thought it might be a VV-4-90, which is one of the models unique to the Canadian market. But that one is a little more fancy.
I wish that the photos were clearer, because there appears to be some differences between this and the center portion of the Granada's cabinet. (For instance, the flat, plain doors.) Also, if the crank is engaged, then it was either shortened or taken from another machine, since the Granada's crank would stick out about a foot or more in a cut-down cabinet.
It would be interesting to find out what number is stamped on the ID plate.

Maybe they are the doors from the record compartments?

I thought of that too, but the record compartment doors also used the "raised panel" design, or whatever it was called.estott wrote:Maybe they are the doors from the record compartments?
Maybe the center doors were mounted inside out? Hard to tell what's under all that paint!

This is a nice piece.
It is a record player in Antique Wooden Cabinet.
This must be the new "minimalist" style of advertising! Maybe someone could make a deal with the seller: You guess it, you get it for free.

I have an antique wooden cabinet too, but I don't keep any record players in it.
