This is a must-have attachment if you have an Amberola 30. It is a complete ICS attachment which will convert an Amberola 30 into an ICS language phonograph. The reproducer is the correct Model H with the cutout, which was purposefully done at the factory to allow the sound to travel unobstructed to the horn. The pot metal reducing ring has some chips, but is structurally sound and is not frozen in the carriage. All parts can be separated.
This set up is neat because you can play wax Amberols as well as record. The reproducer sounds great. It turns an ordinary Amberola into a rare phonograph.
Asking $300 + shipping.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Don't ICS cylinders run at a slower speed? Do all ICS Amberola 30s have the speed control that comes up through the cover?
Thanks, Jerry

Hi Jerry
I have one ICS cylinder Blue Amberol and it is recorded at a slower speed. You can use the attachment to play any Blue Amberol (not Ediphone) and wax Amberol.
While convenient to have the speed control on top, these attachments still were made into the 20s where by that time the Amberola 30s had their speed controls underneath the bedplate, making it a little more inconvenient. I have had both.
These attachments were made in 1915 and continued through the mid-late 1920s. ICS offered these Amberola 30s with the special attachment set-up with the hope that the student would someday upgrade to a Diamond C reproducer for better reproduction of entertainment records.

In many years of collecting I've only seen one
Amberola 30
ICS machine. Very interesting. Thanks, Jerry

Scott OR Jerry -
On a "correct" ICS Amberola 30, is there an ICS tag as seen on an Edison Standard? Or any ICS specific markings?

I have owned 3 Amberola 30 ICS machines over the years, and NONE had an ICS tag, as I recall. Anyone else have one on theirs?

Hi Scott
I can also say I have not seen any Amberola 30s with a tag. I am not sure if Edison made complete ICS Amberolas or just made the attachments and sold them to add to the machine.

This is a very interesting
reproducer. I think if we go any further on the subject of
ICS Amberola 30's ( like pictures ) we should also include it in the Topic of Machines on this board. I think some of us have none or little knowledge on this topic.
At leased I don't

Great point! This is an interesting topic that I knew nothing about before Scott's offer of the item.
