Ah, more great pictures. But something's wrong. When I click on the picture, there is no enlarged picture? I've been trying for 45 minutes. Must be something wrong with my mouse??

Wow again! I am really impressed with everyone's collections! As someone else mentioned, I find myself going through them over and over, each time finding something I had missed before. This was a great idea for a thread. I think Brad was the one who mentioned doing a similar thread for workshops. I think that would be nice to see too. Anyone care to start it?

Me too - - I want to see those Edison "Duplexes" close up, but the photos won't cooperate.

I think Scott's just a tease...! ;)

PS: Thanks again for everyone's kind comments; I'm very impressed with the machines I'm seeing. I was going to make a "wish list" just for fun, but there are too many of them!

When you want to see the WORST phonospace, let me know. Shock will follow .... I seem to have turned into one of those crushed-by-falling-junk geezers ...

Sorry guys...I used imageshack to host the pictures. I didn't realize that TMF will host them and allow a zoom feature.

BTW George - I just received the other Duplex with Home motor. What a fascinating machine. Even you US only collectors should be interested in this one. Definitely a unique machine - very different from the regular Duplex and made for US market Concerts. The cabinet and bedplate are unique to this machine. Something I hadn't realized before.

Well if I had such a button, it would only illicit the response "Awww, get it yourself!" :D

Other than the Edison invented incandescent lights and one VE-XVIII, it's the only other electric item in the room - a USB label printer. I am attempting to catalog my records but I am not making much progress.
Why do we need signatures when we are on a first avatar basis?

No Waldo, just James.

I have enjoyed the variety of machines so finely displayed.
Thanks for the tours!

James.

There's no shame in "packin em in" if you are short on space. Even if you cannot display all of your stuff, you are still preserving it for future generations. :!:

Well, as long as you say there's no shame for packing 'em in! I am a little short on space, and am still new to the collecting. So...here are some of my phonographs that I bunched together for picture's sake. I have some more that are in "project" state so maybe I can add some pictures later when they are done.

(I have a long way to go to get to where all of you are!)

Just finished working on this Amberola VI. It is serial number 625 and plays near perfect. I am really happy with it.
