SCHLICK AUCTION TOTALS, Union, IL

Post by LadyHawke »

Ok, just for "funners", I watched the auction of Donley Auction Services, for Schlick's phonograph collection that many people saw when they attended Union.

I just wanted to share a grand total. I watched and recorded prices to see variances, etc... but the grand total spent at Auction was at bottom list sales, (NO BUYERS PREMIUMS ADDED, NO TAXES, ETC)

OVER 723.024.00
FOR HIS COLLECTION...

WOW.and in two days, POOF it was gone.. but a LOT of other people were VERY HAPPY!! :D

just an fyi to share!

I watched a bit as well. Some very high prices I thought, but probably right for some incredibly rare pieces.

Were the buyers mainly dealers or collectors. The video feed lasted about 5 minutes so I could not see which friends were in the room :-)

That's pretty impressive for one persons collection. I saw what was for sale and there were some very nice and rare machines. Congrats to all who bought. Maybe someone will start a thread on the machines they bought at the Schlick Auction. With pictures of course. :D
