The Pathé Gaulois, an obvious ripoff of the Edison Gem that combined elements of the Graphophone, came in various colors. So why not white?

the galois did come in white as well
ps the second machine on the left (the blue) isn't a gauloise but a girard menestrel model 1 it doesn't have the Pathé cock logo
the bettini no3 is also an gem inspired machine it pops up on ebay france now and then and is mostly mistaken for a Pathé gauloise tino
