I am looking for the Great Wall brand. You know the Chinese copy everything sooner or later.

The red plastic counter culture is very rare.
Mao-power to ya, in finding that one!

Coincidentally, I found the elusive Great Wall brand Diamond B at our show over the weekend. Fortunately, a lot of original color and part of the original label survived...

Wow, the original red brick finish is still in relatively nice condition for it's age! Most that I've come across in my 100+ years of collecting these ultra-rare B's have had very little of the original finish left, exposing that ugly nickel plating.

Very nice example, thanks for sharing!

This reminds me of a friend of mine that actually had a Tiffany lamp, and he got so worried about it that he finally sold the thing. His grandmother was a friend of Tiffany and he gave it to her as a gift back in the teens. I didn't know that he had sold the thing and when I was over to the house I saw it was gone and he said he sold it for fear someone would break into the house and steal it. I said, My gosh Al, all you would have needed to do is stick a "Made in China" sticker on it and nobody would have paid any attention to the thing after that! He still gives me crap about that comment now and again. And admits that I am probably right... We live in a diminished age, that's for sure. Ha!

Additionally, I believe all Bolshevik cylinder machines rotate at a significantly higher number of...revolutions...per minute, probably because they have thrown off the shackles of oppression by the bourgeoisie (and had their governor pads oiled).

I believe that's a copy of Red Amberol #1917 "The Rasputin Rag" - shown here held by Rasputin himself!
