Just want to wish everyone on the forum a Happy Memorial Day. I hope you all get out some machines and play some patriotic songs at your picnic. Have a great and musical day.

Re: MEMORIAL DAY
I'm just about out the door for the Memorial ceremonies and a barbeque. Also, getting my patriotic records. Thanks to the men and women for serving, and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. They provided the freedoms that we have today.

Re: MEMORIAL DAY
I have my "Stars and Stripes Forever" cylinder ready to go in honor of all the brave men and women who are serving and have served, (including my dad- Army-Pearl Harbor-WW2 and my two older brothers-Navy-Vietnam). May my dad and brother Charlie rest in the peace of knowing that they answered the call to duty.

Re: MEMORIAL DAY
Though I never served in the military, I am surrounded by Veterans in my life and truly appreciate their sacrifices and those of their families-- Just a shout out to my neighbor Wayne (93), Navy- WWII; My best phonograph buddy Gene Cole (90), Army- WWII; My brother-in-law Jim (65), Marine- Viet Nam;..and his father Lyn (97), Army, Navy and Marine doctor in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam; My cousin's husband Brian (54)- Navy pilot, peace time.
I love that our hobby has such deep roots in patriotic support of our military men and women. The cylinder I keep on my Edison Home model F is "It's a Long Way to Berlin but We'll Get There!" by Arthur Fields.
Thank you Veterans for your service!

Re: MEMORIAL DAY
A sincere "Thank you!" to all our veterans, and a "God Bless you" for those whom never made it home.
My father, Leslie, served in Germany during the occupation and after worked as a civilian for the Provost Marshall in Frankfort. Later he rejoined and served during the Korean War.
My mother's brother, my namesake, lost his life during the liberation of France.
Best,
Fran
