Identify a machine

Can anyone tell me anything about this machine? I just bought it and am trying to get it running again. I think the previous owner put the spring in backwards (it cranks counterclockwise and the turntable runs backwards), and the spline gear on the governor is stripped and almost looks like it was made of plastic, but otherwise looks OK. Probably a lost cause but worth a try.

The EMI collection, which was dispersed many years ago, included the similar machine pictured below. They believed it to be by the German firm Feucht und Fabi who were granted British Patent 1229 of 1914.

The soundbox on the EMI machine is clearly of later date.

I thought it was a Triton Phonograph No.1 made by the Triton Phonograph Company of New York. Here is a link to a Triton advertisement. Also, a giveaway is the Triton reproducer. When the link opens the No.1 is at the top of the page.
