Victor 4-3

Post by dutchman »

I just ordered a replacement back bracket for this machine (my last project)from Ron S. I made an attempt to remove the old bracket which is on the verge of becoming powder to see how the tone arm comes off. The very bottom of the tone arm back bracket which attaches to the cabinet is made of steel. I separated the two pieces and notice the pot metal section extends into the steel bottom plate and contains the notch to limit tone arm travel. This whole pot metal ring remained in the steel section which contains the ball bearings for the tone arm. Curious if the repro back brackets contain the pot metal section that mates with the steel section. Does anyone have the instructions on how the tone arm separates from the old back bracket :D Thanks
