Can anyone identify this machine

Wondering if any of you recognize this.

I believe this is a Meteor phonograph. This one is a late 1920's model that was meant to mimic the Victor Orthophonic, Columbia Viva-Tonal, Brunswick Panatrope, etc. lines. There was one of these on East Tennessee Craigslist not too long ago, it might still be there.

Were there a lot of smaller brands doing their own version of the orthophonic? I didn't realize there were more companies making phonographs like this besides Victor, Brunswick and Columbia. Those little companies must have been blown out of the water fast when the Depression hit. Maybe that's why they are so little known.

There were many small companies that produced Credenza Clones, some closer than others. The Vincennes Phonograph Co. came and went without making a splash, but from their advertising they certainly aimed high.

The Vincennes spring-powered changer sounds fascinating; I'd think it would need a huge motor to power through 10 records & changing cycles. Anyone ever see one? I haven't found a patent, yet.

I suspect that if the thing was actually built it was bigger and bulkier than the picture would indicate. Might use the type of changer with the records fixed to a series of turntables, such as Mills used.
