FOR SALE: Victor Monarch Records From My Collection -VARIOUS

Post by FellowCollector »

Here are a few early Victor Monarch Records and a very hard to find Victor Grand Prize record from my collection that I'm offering for sale.

All of these records have been played start to finish by me using a modern turntable and all play very nicely indeed! See list below with supporting details and label pictures of the actual records following this text.

Please send a PM with interest. Combined shipping (more than one record in a single box) is invited and encouraged if more than one of these interest you. Shipping will be by USPS Media Mail. The record(s) will be packaged securely and shipped promptly. Priced individually.

1. Monarch Record - SOUSA'S BAND - High School Cadets March - #2442 - Looks and Plays OUTSTANDING! $50

2. Early Dog Victor Monarch Record - SOUSA'S BAND - #324 - Indian War Dance - FANTASTIC! Includes Indian War Whoops and other early sound effects along with an incredibly interesting arrangement very much unlike Sousa's (normally) very regimented recordings! Plays GREAT! $75

3. Early Pre-Dog Eldridge Johnson Victor Monarch - SOUSA'S BAND - The Gladiator March - #3228 - Plays GREAT! $75

4. Monarch Record - Frank Wilson - Coon Song Medley - #2619 - German Parody of early Coon Songs - unlike the previous records, this one shows plenty of handling and play wear with scuffs and scratches but still plays very well with somewhat lower volume relative to other early Victor Monarch records in my collection. $30

5. Victor Grand Prize - Collins & Harlan - [n****r] LOVES HIS 'POSSUM - #4560 - Excellent condition and plays OUTSTANDING - Loud, crisp and clear start to finish! This is the FINEST CONDITION Victor Grand Prize Record of this title that I have ever owned. This record is almost always found heavily worn and noisy. Not this one. $50

Thanks,

Doug

I figured that maybe 3228 and 324 could have gone either way. I'm on the prowl for 7" band music discs... PM me if you have any you'd like to sell.

Thanks for the fast response! :D
