1924 Edison Bell Picturegram - Video Demo

Edison Bell Picturegram 1924-

Hi all, I haven't seen a video of one of these in action online so I thought I'd post mine. Apologies for the wobbly video and the angles but I was on my own and its hard to coordinate the things that need to happen to get it lined up. I have three sets of rolls and records and would love to add more.

Here's the link:

Enjoy!

What a wonderful outfit, beautifully preserved! What a lucky child to have gotten this back in the day!
Hope you don't mind me posting a few screen captures!

Still available in 1928 and good value at £6:6:0, compared with a bog standard black HMV101 at £7:0:0.

I've seen a picture of this in the Christopher Proudfoot book"Collecting Phonographs and Gramophones".The YouTube video was a charming demonstration.edisonplayer

Mario,

Wow!

Thank you for sharing this!!! (I grew up with one my whole life but never saw it work until ~2015 when Robin R. got it and worked his magic on it. It brought tears to my eyes! And the still posted above is the frame that was always on display!)

I've always seen this machine as the birth place of MTV...

Wow, now that's what I call "cute"!

I've never seen it before, thanks a lot for taking the time to record the video and share it. Quite obviously I would have LOVED to own a Picturegram as a kid. And I do just as well as an adult, by the way! ;)
