Slightly O/T: Bringing Shorpy to life

Post by TinfoilPhono »

I imagine most people here are aware of shorpy.com. Several of their photos of music stores have been posted here.

Here's a new twist, taking such pictures and bringing them to life with 3D effects and animation: https://vimeo.com/160024074

Fabulous (even if they do have the tone arm on the wrong side of the record)! :D

It's fascinating but creepy. Everything seems "off" enough to make it seem like a weird dream, and the people look like animated corpses.

That lady in the late '60's hoop skirt! It doesn't move thae way that a real hoop skirt does. Looks like a bubble floating a cross the roads.

Remarkable! What an original concept and process! It takes a special kind of artistic genius to develop something like this. Thanks for the link!

This was absolutely captivating. Thanks ever so much for sharing this delightful and innovative journey back in time. Al Bowlly singing throughout surely is pleasing too... Like Ronnie, I smiled all the way through. Hoping there are more like this to come!
