I have an Edison Disc phonograph where the muffle ball has fallen off. Does anybody know what kind of glue I should use to re-attach it?

I assume that originally, either shellac or "hide" glue may have been used, but I would bet "Aleene's Tacky Glue" would work great. I've used it on a variety of materials. I originally bought some for replacing the suspension surrounds for attaching speaker cones to their metal frames (aka "baskets") with perfect success.

I have successfully used "Tacky Glue" to repair the mute ball on my C-250.
