I love how it looks nicely aged. Not the least bit gaudy, like every gold-plated restoration I've ever seen. Superb.

Decal arrived today from Gregg Cline. I am letting the finish cure for a few weeks before I matte it down a bit. But here are a few before and afters.

Truly Amazing Wyatt...!

That phono sure wound up with the right person.

The Gold looks properly "aged"...not "redone". Old "Tom" would be proud.

Congrats..

You are the "Master" on this one..!


Now to only "master" Case Color Hardening/Oxidation!...on future projects!....lol..

As Rene mentioned, there's no "gaudiness" about it. You'd never know the gold had been restored, and once the cabinet finish has been matted, the entire machine should flow together. Congratulations, Wyatt! :)
