Aeolian Vocalion Lid Support
Good day gents! I have looked everywhere trying to find a lid support piece for my Series 400. Anyone have one laying around they've forgotten about? THis piece goes into the phonograph deck and the lid support rod(pictured) goes inside and the rod's wheel rides in the groves when you lift/lower the lid. Thanks!

More than likely there is someone on the forum that could have one.(You may just do some looking for a bit.) But if you can't find it I suggest to look around at some local machine shops, they could reattach it back together.

Because it is a pot or cast type of metal, it can't be welded. JB Weld also won't work due to the amount of leverage pressure required to support the lid. Its not worth the expense to have a 3d image printed although I've looked into that. I'm hoping to find someone that has an old Aeolian that isn't worth restoring with this type of lid support. Not all Aeolian's used this. The tell tale sign is the support 'rod'. Most use a flat metal support like most other manufacturer's lid support however this is a steel rod with a wheel on the end that travels in the support piece's grooves that you can see in the pictures.

A couple of things---Where are you located, what model, It looks like the board is not original, but made out of plywood--true?
