Hello,
Can anyone tell me of a good source for HMV No. 4 soundbox gaskets? I need one for the diaphragm and another for the rear flange.
Thank you!

Re: WANTED: Source for HMV No. 4 Rubber Gasket
Hello Garrett ,
I usually have the No 4 Mica rubber gasket for sale on Ebay but I am out of stock of the 1st quality , I do have seconds available but don't offer these on Ebay , the seconds are usually darker and can have pinholes or larger holes , I usually use these myself for repairs as they still work well , I should have some back on Ebay soon Regards Mike

Hello Mike,
Thanks so much for your message. If you are willing to let one go of your seconds, I'd love to purchase one. I'm working on a project for a local school, and would love to get the soundbox rubbers replaced, as they are the last thing that need attention.
Best,
Garret

Re: WANTED: Source for HMV No. 4 Rubber Gasket
Hello, Mike
In the UK there is a man who has new gaskets for No 4 soundboxes and he may have some original rear flanges that are still slightly soft his website is - http://www.windupgram.co.uk/.
If you want a new rear flange you can keep the old inner ring remove all of the old rubber and make a new one using sugru - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sugru-Mouldab ... u1kjyVZqyQ I have tried this method myself and it works very well, not as good as natural rubber but it is as good as you can get unless you use black plumbing silicone which can get VERY messy!
Hope this helps, Jake
