I´m wondering (and I´ve searched the Forum) when the Standard A Edison phonograph was made - when it was started and when did they go over to the standard B - I´m supposing here they went in that order.
Mine has the serial number S 1 61731 and the banner logo.
Anyone who knows any dates here? grateful if you would share!

The Standard-A Banner case models were made from 1901 until between Oct-Dec of 1905. Maybe George can help you with dating your specific serial number.

Edison Standard No.161731 left the factory about September 1904.

Member Martinola has been working on researching these for some time. You may find this post, and the article it links to, useful.
