Briefcase with oak partitions

Case with inner partitions all in oak that I saved from the trash, now restored serving for exhibition of accessories ...

Is that a tool box or an artist's kit? Maybe a writer's case. I'm guessing the small areas are for pen nibs, the ones on the sides for pen holders, a writing book in the center top and ink in the top sides. Or maybe a cash box for selling?

I honestly can not say, probably a service bag with specific tools ... I know it was beautiful after restoration.
