RCA portable. need info

Saw at an estate sale today.
Any info appreciated. RCA - $30.00 asking price.
Cranked it up, turntable works.

It looks like a 1940's model. Could be fine, though I don't think the later reproducers can be easily taken apart for rebuilding. Price isn't bad at all! :)

Looking at the record holder and sound box "cup," I'd say it's from the later 1930s -- 1937/1938. For 30-bucks I'd definitely go for it. The sound box can probably be restored, if it's like the one on the portable I used to own.
