Odd little Silvertone Late Table Model.

Post by larryh »

Hello all,

I was cleaning up the attic and ran across a loose page from a Sears Catalog. Not sure of the date, could be late 30s or into the mid 40's? But somehow I don't recall seeing this strange machine before. I admit it might be fun to own one. Anyone have one of these around?

Alright, I want one, and 15.95 seems a fair price.

But where does it say how I control-o the tone? That's the feature that most intrigues me.

What a great little machine! I cant say I've seen that design anywhere before. The roll top is a rather ingenious method of controling the volume. The record drawer is a cute feature as well.
I certainly wouldn't mind adding one to my collection.

Yup! I posted this a little while back. I contacted the seller, unfortunately it was too late. :(

Another weird creation brought to you by the Conley / Waters-Conley / Phonola people!
Remember this one : http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... ?f=2&t=950 ?

I'd want the roll-top thing, if it didn't have the crummy pot-metal tone arm and lousy reproducer.
