My new Victor IV

Post by Viva-voce »

Hi everyone,

I am the proud owner of a beautiful all-original, unmolested Victor IV with spear tip horn! I've wanted one of these for a while and I finally found the right one--thanks, Jerry Blais! You are so kind and helpful and really looked after my best interests. I was also able to acquire an original #22 flower horn so I can "mix it up." Again, thanks Jerry!

I also wish to thank Bryce Paris and Russ Ridley for their kind and generous help in transporting this lovely and elegant machine to its new home. My friend and I enjoyed a beautiful sunny trip to Victoria from Vancouver last weekend to pick up the machine at Russ and Joanna's home and we were treated to a tour of Russ's amazing collection and some delicious lattes and pastries. My friend was so inspired that he now wants to own a Victor machine!

As a newer member of this Forum I really appreciate the depth of knowledge shared by its members. As I only have one machine, I am very happy it is a Victor IV.

Thank you, gentlemen, again and again.

Steve

Congratulations, that's a very nice, stately machine and cabinet.

Best,

Thank you Fran and Steve for your good wishes. I always thought the IV to be a stately and classy model. And thanks again Jerry, I'm enjoying this machine very much. The motor runs smoothly (and is much quieter than I expected) and the reproducer plays loud and clear. And everything is original. This is exactly how I wanted to find it.
I purchased the cabinet for $50 many years ago in an antique mall and have always enjoyed displaying it but now its serving a greater purpose! The top of the cabinet is just the right depth for the Victor IV.

Best wishes and have a great time at Union.

Steve
