Post by Hyperion »

Hi, everyone. I'm looking for a few specific cylinders to replace some that have broken. If you think you might be able to help me out, please PM me and I will share the titles. Thank you!

Probably better to just post the titles here, no?

Broken cylinders can be repaired, minus blue Amberols, which tend to shatter.

O.K., here are a few to start:

2-minute:

Edison 10186: "Little Willie"

Edison 8966: "Bunker Hill"

4-minute:

Edison Amberol 354: "Ireland Isn't Ireland Anymore"

Please let me know if anyone has any or all of these. Thanks!

I've never had any luck doing that. How would you recommend going about it?

I don't have any experience with the process, but I know there are some vendors at the Wayne shows that repair your cylinders while you browse the rest of the area.

This is the cylinder doctor, he does amazing work, I have watched him work his wonders on cylinders for over 20 years, at Union IL talking machine show.

These are not merely cracked, they are in many pieces. They need to be replaced. And they are common cylinders -- replacing them will be much easier and cheaper than sending them off to be "repaired." If anyone has any or all of these, please PM me. There are others I'd like to replace, too. Thanks!
