I've never seen a Lauzon with that style Tonearm, they've all been Fletcher. So I wonder if it's an original, or just an end of the line one.

Lauzon did use that tonearm and reproducer around 1924, but most have the Fletcher tonearm and reproducer...

WooooHooo!
I was the high bidder on this Lauzon as I live in the area. It seems to be in great shape for the age, however the main spring is not charging. The mechanism looks good other than the old grease still on it. It will likely be a bit before I can open the spring container up for a good cleaning and investigate the issue. I had to laugh as it seems typical that the interior had a bunch of loose needles that have fell down into it over the years.
I'm not sure if this is going to be a keeper or not. I still have to tell the wife about it. For now it looks like it will be another project for this winter season.

The springs were broken on the original motor. The ends were tweaked and not engaging well. I was able to find a replacement movement with a motor that the springs were in great shape. I was able to disassemble, clean and repack the motor springs with grease. I finally did that today and put the unit back together. I cranked it up and I can't believe it works just wonderfully! I've fixed a lot of things over the years but this has got to be one of the most satisfying projects I've ever completed. To hear the sound coming out of this talking machine is just amazing... the speed control works beautifully.
I'm so excited to have this unit back in working condition!

Glad you got yours working... I found one in Greenville, MI two years ago and I still need to replace the spring...
