And I have begun the process of uploading videos. However, due to 1. software restraints, and internet connection restraints, (256K, I think) I try to downsize my videos. On average, right off the camera, my videos are around 150 MB long. My internet provider has a 300 MB/day cap on the internet, and I don't want to use up 50% of the alotted amount, in case if I needed to download something important, or Windows needed up update something large (.NET Framework, anyone?)
So, I downloaded a Free Video Converter, which I like, but I don't know how to use it.
The first video I attempted to "scale down" did not turn out so well. True, the file size dropped from 137 MB to 12.4 MB, but the video looks very pixellated. I am converting to the .AVI format.
What do you guys do/what settings do you use for the best overall look of the video? If I had a great connection and no limit, then a 150MB upload would not phase me. However, that is the price I must pay for living out in the boonies.
Right now, I'm uploading a video with the .AVI format, with a 24 FPS rate, with a bitrate of 768. I hope that turns out better.
